We did not get to go to Stirrup Cay due to the ships captain deciding to port in an oil slick in Cuba. We had to stay of shore in the Bahamas to clean the exterior of the ship. Cuba was an experience, and that's all I can say. The people are wonderful, the education was great, the dog poop all over the streets was terrible.

Had a great time on this cruise, cruise personnel were very helpful. Service was good, food could've been a little better. The unlimited drink package was a great feature, and there was not long lines waiting for drinks.

This is probably my FAVORITE ship. I've been on 7 cruises on different ships and we seem to always venture back to the sky. It's a smaller ship but it has an unlimited drink package which it the best!! The crew is super nice and the room are always clean...

Everyone was super friendly, great bar staff in Longboards. Lunch and dinner service was super slow! Overall staff went out of their way to take care of us especially after they announced our cruise would be cut a day because of Hurricane Irma.

We were on the Sky that was cut short this week by Irma. The 'open bar' (which was asked about on a previous review) is reflected in the higher base pricing. The drinks are OK, food OK, entertainment very poor, cabins tiny. Whether the itinerary change & cutting a day from the cruise impacted the entertainment programme so adversely I don't know, the atmosphere on the ship was awfully subdued as practically everyone spent most of the trip trying to reorganise their onward accommodation and transport. The option of taking guests back out to sea to ride out storm as the Escape did had to be far better than dropping guests back into a port which was already under evacuation and with obvious transport and accommodation problems. Offering a contribution towards flight change costs was hardly of use to those who weren't planning to fly out of the State. I guess there will be some horrendous telephone bills to come for most guests. We got the distinct impression entertainment was an after thought on this ship rather than a core element of the package. Cuba was fun, we got to see & experience the things we had planned. The ship was full but didn't seem crowded. We are NCL regulars, this is an old ship and it shows. The newer larger ships are far superior to the Sky in every category imaginable (we were on its sister ship, the Jade, recently which is far better too). I wouldn't be surprised to see the Sky sold on by NCL in the not too distant future... it's not a ship we'll seek to book again.

Loved every minute of it. Cuba is worth the visit. The architecture is beautiful and the Cuban people are eager to share their history. So to see how these beautiful bldgs have fallen into disrepair

Having cruised with Carnival for several years, my friends and I decided to try NCL this year. The best thing about this cruise was the open bar. The staff truly needs some retraining. The rooms are way to small and we had a balcony! This type of cramped space makes for a grumpy guest in me and my friends. I can totally nitpick in several areas that were a given on Carnival and not on this line. But I think the free booze makes up for it in some ways. But you just can't overlook an untrained staff, I don't care how many drinks you have. Will I go NCL again, yes. But I'll never cruise NCL Sky again.

We were also on the cruise to Cuba which was cut short due to Irma. First time on Norwegian but have been on Carnival, Celebrity, and Princess. I would definitely travel with NCL Sky again. Ship is older and it shows in some areas. Cabins are really small but manageable. Our steward was awesome and earns his money. Food was typical cruise food but there are lots of options. No one should go hungry. Loved Cuba and can't wait to go back again. Easiest embarking and disembarking that we have ever encountered. Definitely worth the money.

This is a question for those that cruised on the Norwegian Sky to Havana. does anyone have the currency exchange conversion rate from the ship or The Exchange Place right outside the ship?

This was a great trip. The only negative thing that I can say happened before we boarded the ship. First of all, let me tell you that I am in the hospitality business. I understand people make a living off of making tips. I don't like people telling me to tip them without having done anything for me to start with. As we exited the airport to port transfer, we were met by a man who started to take our bags to be placed on the ship. He said you can tip me now which put a bad taste in my mouth so I responded that my tips were already included in the price of my trip. He immediately dropped my bag and told someone else to help me. If he would have done what he is paid to do to start with without telling me to tip him, I would have.

We just got back from the Cuba cruise and we had a nice time. As many others have said, it's a smaller boat, but we kept entertained the entire cruise. As for Cuba, it was very depressing. We met a young woman who spoke decent English. She showed us some sites. She would not accept cash, however wanted us to buy her milk, which we did. The people were very thankful for the tourists. Hopefully things get better as time goes on. We dined mainly in the signature eateries, Cagneys and Le Bistro. Outstanding. Even though it was an open bar, I did not see anyone out of hand. Just folks having a good time.

Cuba is OUTSTANDING! Do go but not on Norwegian. I you must go on this ship the best excursion is Classic Cars! Do go to the Tropicana but not on an excursion. You will save money and get better seats. Also allow yourself time to shop in the giant market and go to Havana Rum Club and various rooftop bar hotels.

Expensive for only 4day cruise but overnighted in Cuba and port charges were high but was good cruise to take and we enjoyed it Very hot and nothing with a/c or fans

I had a great time because I was with my friends I only get to see once or twice a year. We're women in our 40's and we partyed like we were 25 again but we will never sail with this cruiseline again.

Overall an amazing experience. A second full day in Cuba would've been great, but not required. Pretty much a perfect trip. I would definitely do something like this again.

This was our first cruise with Norwegian and it was fantastic. All expectations were met and the service was stellar. We're excited to sail with them again in the future.

I loved the overnight stay in Cuba and can't wait to visit again. Nice ship, not overly crowded like on the big ships. Norwegian did a nice job. The people of Cuba are very poor, but are an extremely proud people, as they should be.

Everything was lovely! I took two 19 year olds to see Cuba but the ship wasn't neccsarily geared toward their age group. We all had fun however and had an educational experience in Cuba.

Great value for money. This was first time on this ship with open bar and the drunk people we encountered in several areas tainted our experience a bit, but we'd still sail the Sky again. Fabulous crew.

Everyone should visit Cuba. It's a vey educational experience. I feel fortunate and thankful to be a US citizen after my visit to Cuba. Took the Old Colonial Havanna tour. The tour guide was excellent but there is a lot of walking on this tour and it's very hot in August in Havanna. We also went on the farm to table tour which had an excellent tour guide. This was very educational and the cheese made at the farm was especially good.
