Thoroughly enjoyable autumn cruise around New England and Eastern Canada. A week or two later would have shown us the really vivid colours but we loved it. My gluten free dietary requirements were met splendidly by pleasant, friendly staff.

Food and Dining

Mainly stuck to Crossings and Palace because I could place a pre-order for my gluten free food. Very happy with the food, variety and service.
Le Bistro

Very classy. Because of the layout it felt like we were in a first class dining car. Très élegante.

Really liked this smaller ship. The vibe and decor were great. Very friendly.
Cabin / Stateroom

Lovely cabin. Quiet and peaceful. First time with a porthole and we would definitely do this type of cabin again.

Learn where the public restrooms are to save time searching for them.
A full day tour to Gloucester, Rockport and finally Salem. The witch museum tour was very informative. We stumbled on Bridget Bishop's memorial if anyone else has read a Discovery of Witches! Salem was a little tacky for our tastes unfortunately.
This was a filler day for us but we took the full day tour. The coastline was pretty. We saw the Bush family peninsula and a commemoration to Barbara Bush.
We took the cliff walk and Breakers tour. The 'cottage' and seascape was stunning. A lot of people just walked to the Breakers and did their own tour which would have saved some money but I guess we got educated by Jean, our guide.
Did a tour 10 of the best. It was a long day and we couldn't remember everything but the highlights were Lawnview Cemetry, Spring Garden Road Gardens and Peggy's Cove.
Our NCL tour got cancelled but we took a private taxi to do the same tour. We absolutely loved the setting of the Highland Village and the interactive experience with the actors made it ever so memorable. Baddeck was nice, we looked at the A.G. Bell museum but Iona was our favourite part of the day.
We did the cycle tour in the morning. Two people dropped out because they were expecting e-bikes but found the experience amazing. A couple a steepish sections but not too long a drag. We also learnt about history and nature on the tour. Around 7 miles in total.
