Review summary

I'm very disappointed with how booking this cruise through turned out. I booked it with "Open Bar" advertised, as well as free wifi. When we made it on the boat we were informed we would have to pay for both. When I tried to contact they said there was nothing they could do because we were already on the boat. I would like a refund for these expenses which were advertised to come with the purchase.

If you book a sail away level cabin, regardless of whether you choose interior, balcony, etc, you do not get the free at sea options like free open bar. If you booked a cabin and were able to pick your free at sea options, you still have to pay the gratuities. The free at sea open bar cost DH and I a little over 400.00 in gratuities. We opted out of the specialty dining option because we didn't want to pay the additional gratuities to pick that "freebie." We're fine with the main dining room.

Our friends just got off NCL (different ship), they also had added expenses that said all included when they booked it! I booked a Celebrity cruise for December 2024 All included during their Black Friday sale. From thanksgiving on I kept comparing prices, offers, etc on different lines. I finally I booked Celebrity on December 12 then after giving my fiancé the paperwork for Christmas, Celebrity called on December 26 or 27 saying there was a computer glitch. So my All inclusive; drinks, tips, WiFi w/$100 onboard credit for a only a 4 day cruise, was now going to be $2400-2800 more or I could get less. I told him if I wanted less I would have ordered less plus I would’ve done a cruise to places I hadn’t been. I told him to stuff the cruise and I would never book Celebrity again!

Did you book the option that included the free drinks and Wi-Fi or book the cheaper fare that doesn’t include anything but the basic cruise? It’s always important to read the details in fine print.
