food is very good. we were on hal koningsdam in grand food was awful except in special restaurants. food in mdr is very good on ncl. downside to specialty restaurants is you get one appetizer which is actual appetizer,soup,and salad. so if you want shrimp cocktail and soup or salad you have to pay additional. cheap out.

sorry. no extra charge in mdr. it is extra in specialty restaurants. as instance. it’s $60 to eat at cagney. you get one appetizer. one entree and dessert. if you want soup it’s $12 extra. if you want cesar salad add another $11. that’s $83 for dinner for one plus 20% gratuity. that is ruth’s chris’s money. it is good but i don’t know if ruth’s hood and this is on top of already paying for the included dinner. that said ncl is over delivering on this cruise and we are enjoying greatly

Thanks for the review! I have never gotten asked to pay extra in the Mdr when I wanted more so that is surprising!
