Review summary

Unfortunate that i could not buy a drink package for my wife alone. I do not consume alcohol and feel its highway robbery forcing both individuals to HAVE TO purchase the package..My deciding factor for cruising with NCL. We will try another cruise line next

You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. It is Robbery. If people want to put a stop to being RIPPED OFF and end the Thievery that the Cruise Lines practice START BOYCOTTING the drink package and I am sure changes will take place.

My sister and I are not big drinkers. We bought only a couple a day and paid less then a drink package would have been.

No matter which cruise line, if sharing the same cabin, all the occupants must buy it. It's not just a NCL policy. Hope you both enjoyed your cruise 😉

Most cruise lines require all adults in a cabin to purchase the drink package. They initially allowed one person to purchase it, but too many people only purchased one package and shared it, so now everyone is being “punished” for the actions of those that refuse to follow the rules.
