A good getaway for culture & history seeking adults. Young adults seeking excitement may be disappointed. Two entire days in Havana is recommended.
Embarkation

My husband and I did not have a visa. My booking agent told us about the required visa and included the cost in the price quote. Unfortunately, she failed to inform us that the visa fee had to be purchased directly through Norwegian.
As such, our Port Checkin was delayed for approximately 2 hours. As a result we missed lots of the pre sailing activities and pre-sailing info session.

Do try the Coconut Pineapple Mojito. It was made to perfection.
Onboard Activities

The fitness center had the necessary basic equipment, all in excellent working condition. The track on deck 6 was available to guest from 8 am to 8pm.
The activities catered to every interest and age group.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Manila Band was good. However, the Flavor Band was Excellent: the singer; Lady Charmaine/Champagne put her emotions into every song. She made my husband's vacation a memorable one by singing his special request song. The pianist in Cook's Bar was perfect for our late night entertainment.

Ship Quality

Every area on the ship was always clean. The dinning areas were spotless. Every deck had directional maps posted near the elevators and stairways.
Cabin / Stateroom

The shower in our cabin was the smallest we have ever seen on a ship.
Ship tip
Norwegian Sky only has only one pool on deck 11 with one or two small hot tubs. It's always crowded with loud happy cruisers who dominate the pool for hours on end. Be prepared to enjoy the deck, the music & cocktails but not the pool.
Do make time to spend at least a day in Miami; visit the Graffiti District, Little Havana, Bayside Market and most definitely, do the Biscayne Bay cruise.
A wonderful island, with lots of history and culture. We learned so much. One of our shore excursions " Ultimate Highlights Of Havana" was a history classroom.
Do take a ride in one of the Vintage Chevy cars.
Unfortunately, the entire ship was unable to disembark. According to the Captain, the weather condition was poor; making it unsafe for Tendering. Better safe than sorry.
We were off the ship the ship by 7:45 am. Those passengers that were willing to take their luggage off the ship themselves were allowed to disembark first.
