Great, Fun Short Cruise

Sail Date: August 12, 2016

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was an excellent cruise! The all-inclusive drinks were great (strong drinks). Our room was very clean, and we enjoyed having a balcony. The rooms are small, but manageable for 2 people. The ship was very clean, and the crew was very friendly. They didn't want you to do anything, because you are on vacation! Getting on and off of the ship was easy. We enjoyed Nassau. We didn't do an any excursions.  We just did our own thing. We loved Great Stirrup Cayou, it was beautiful! The piano bar was awesome, and the food was great everywhere! We did eat at the steak house, and the steak melted in our mouths! Overall this was a great mini vacation. We did not like leaving from Miami, though. We will never leave from Miami again. We prefer to be where people can speak English. We were sent back and forth with our luggage a couple times outside of the port, because no one spoke English and couldn't understand what we were asking. People from the cruise before us were still leaving the ship, so they must have thought we were looking for a ride. We had time slot 10:00 to 10:30 to be at the port.  Finally, a man taking luggage (who spoke English) saw us, took our luggage, and sent us in the right direction.

Cabin / Stateroom
There was water on the rug outside of the bathroom near the air vent. I think the air conditioner was leaking. We could walk without shoes in that area. Other than that we enjoyed our cabin. They replaced the shower curtain and the railing on the balcony while we were there.

The right amount for a 3 night cruise

The shows were corny, but the comedian and piano player were great!

Not a fan of this port. Barely anyone speaks English, and it's frustrating! No signs pointing to where to go if you are trying to board.
Nassau, Bahamas
We just walked around here. As long as you are nice to the locals, you should be fine. When people asked if we wanted to buy something, we said "no thank you". They were all very nice to us. "It's not what you say, it's how you say it".
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Beautiful island! Make sure you get to the buffet! Look at the times they are open. The food was delicious. Bring your own snorkeling gear, because you can go right out and snorkel at no cost.

We found that getting off at port first thing, and coming back on the ship at 2:00pm was easy. There was barely anyone else doing that, and we could go to the pool and Jacuzzis on the ship without too many people. Plus we didn't have to worry about not making it back on time.
