Review summary
The Norwegian Sky cruise to the Bahamas was semi-enjoyable. The food was the same in the buffet all five days, including powedered eggs and powdered potatoes (at least, that is what they tasted like). The freestyle dining was a 20-30 min. wait every time. My dinner was cold one night. The interior room we slept in was freezing cold. It took four phone calls before they fixed the issue. The bed squeaked from the rocking of the ship, keeping us awake at night. They did fix that on the third day. The excursions were expensive. We purchased the Blue Lagoon excursion for $130 believing that the the floatation devices for the water were included, Turns out they were EACH anywhere from $20-$30 EXTRA to rent. So, we paid $130 to sit on a beach for 3 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. The Garden of the Groves was a 35 mins tour, each way, looking at car dealerships, hospitals and gov't buildings, and being told about a man named Wallace. The Garden Tour, itself, was another 30mins of a guide pointing out ducks, trees and telling the same story of the man named Wallace. The two stops between the tour and Garden were tourist stops for you to spend more money on the same over-priced souveniers that you had already seen at the port stop 2 hours before. Overall, this was a sub-par experience. We will not be cruising with Norwegian for a long time.Ship experiences
