Review summary

Ok ship but won’t be doing that class again. The crew is top notch.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Galveston has always been my favorite port to Embark. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the time from car to ship is never an issue. This one took us about twenty minutes. Most of it was just walking to each step. The lines never stopped moving.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall, not bad but not great either.

The Local Bar & Grill

5 out of 5

By far, our favorite lunch spot. We tried almost the whole menu and were never disappointed. Service was great and the servers remembered us quickly.

Starbucks

5 out of 5

Always greater with a smile and the orders were crazy fast.

Le Bistro

2 out of 5

If not for amazing service, this would be rated a one. Food was not good.

Indulge Food Hall

4 out of 5

Food was good but very repetitive for an 11 night cruise. Service, duh, impeccable.

Hudson's Main Dining Room

5 out of 5

Best of the main dining room choices. Food was good and again, service was on point. Never fussed about ordering multiple items.

Hasuki

Food was very bla. Benni Hanna is better. Service was amazing

Cagney's Steakhouse

3 out of 5

Steak was full tough to eat meat and muscle connections. (Don’t know if Grissel is a word). lol. Sides were great and service was impeccable.

Onboard Activities

Not real impressed. Dry slides weren’t fun, not fast and I didn’t make it to the end causing me to have to inch feet first about twenty feet. No water park but one slide. Unfortunately it was closed a lot due to high wind on our cruise. Pools were ok but always really busy. Go carts were fun but at $15 per race, 7ish laps, not really worth it. Mini golf was really a no factor. The whole thing should be replaced. There is a circular ping pong table and it’s a blast once you figure it out. The Cigar room was a nice addition

Entertainment

You have to make reservations for the theatre shows and none of them interested us so we didn’t go. Ended up going to the last show and the girl singing was not our flavor so we left two songs in. Would have loved to see the Fleetwood Mac cover but syd Norman’s is dang near impossible to go unless you are willing to wait in line two hours. Singers around the ship were good

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This was the one true savior as the crew were all very awesome and always helpful. Mitch behind the Observation Bar was our favorite so we spent just about every night up there. Was mostly quiet and slow so if you like that, it’s a great bar.

Ship Quality

Easily said, the layout wasn’t great.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabin. The bathroom is the best/biggest standard one we have ever had. The shower was huge. Big fan. The location could be viewed as poor because of the dry slide in our view but the room was hidden from the wind.

Ports of call

Kralendijk, Bonaire

Favorite island of all time. Went kayaking to a beach and then went to the brewery to finish the night. The guys at the brewery still cared about service and were awesome. We will be taking a trip here for a week very soon.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Nice private island with a very nice beach. Water was freezing so it hindered our fun. Other than that, the island was pretty boring.

Miami, Florida

Willemstad, Curacao

Oranjestad, Aruba

Pretty but a little boring

Cozumel, Mexico

Been here a lot so it’s a little old but good times. We went to Isla Pasión again for nostalgia purposes as we went there on our first cruise together. Nice little island but it’s a long ferry trip. Our first time, we took the Twister go fast boat but it doesn’t seem to be running anymore.

Disembarkation

They have you pick your luggage tags the day prior and then they call your color when time to leave. We picked the last color (9:30am) and flew off. Easy.
