I will book another Prima cruise, and cannot wait to see what Viva has in store!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Boarding in Miami was smooth. Started at approximately 11:15. Wait for your group to be called. If you are a latitude rewards priority embarkation, just walk up, show your key card, and through the doors at your convenience. They always start with guests who need special assistance, but everyone seemed to want to be the first ones on.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Overall this ship had everything you would expect with NCL, but elevated. The only disappointment on a full capacity ship was the occasional overcrowding at the buffet, or for those people winging it with NO reservations, a tough time getting to eat when they wanted to.
Los Lobos

I've had better Mexican pretty much everywhere, but the Churros at dessert can't be missed. The table side Quacamole was good, and food wasn't anything but average.
Le Bistro

You can't go wrong here. The chandeliers are Amazing! Try the tenderloin or veal chop if you are a meat lover. The French Onion Soup is also delish.
Indulge Food Hall

Great concept. Once you can find an empty table and understand the tablet to order, just swipe your room card. It's a little buy of everything. The shrimp Pad Thai was excellent, and so was the Quac. The Salmon filet was one of the biggest I've seen on any ship! Don't worry about the beverages and prices, etc. If you have a meal plan or beverage plan, it's a $0.00 charge.
Hudson's Main Dining Room

Beautifully designed. Menu doesn't change and is the same every day except for a different "Signature Taste" every evening. Best Clam Chowder ever! https://profcruise.com/norwegian-prima-dining-menus/
Onda By Scarpetta

Pizza is uniquely good.
Indulge Outdoor Lounge
5 out of 5
Best mixed drink on the ship was poured here out of a Tap!!! Great concept on Prima with Bars having their own signature drinks from Tap and felt as if Bartender just made them. Try any Liquid Kitchen drink they may have....wish I could remember the Whiskey one with Cinnamon...hmm yum!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pool area was smaller than most ships, but when you realized there are 2 additional Infiniti Beach areas with Pools you understood what they were trying to do... disperse the crowding into multiple decks and area where some people can enjoy the main pool ruckus, and others the relaxing sun or shade.
If you want to try the exclusive Vibe club, you better buy access before you get on board, as in this case if/when you don't, Guest Services doesn't really have any openings left to sell... much different than on previous cruises when you could buy your Vibe pass on the ship... may be different on another Prima cruise, but doubt it.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
NCL has 2 new winners with Noisy Boys and Summer. Great production value, awesome singers, and a state of art Theatre that changes into their nightclub at night. Fancy light show and digital excess!

Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Some people will say the ship is laid out aweful. Some will say it's uniquely designed. Give it time and you will find your way around. It's different than any other NCL ship so what to you expect!?
I do think the elevators were annoying!! Going UP? TURN OFF THE SOUND.
I will have to say the Artwork around the ship, and the design standard is Top Rate!!
Cabin / Stateroom

Spacious cabin. Cool layout and storage for 2 people. Bathroom nice size, and standalone shower on NCL Balcony room I've been on. Finally a large screen TV!
Get off the boat and go to Mahahual Beach on your own. Taxi is 4 Dollard per person... get a taxi OUTSIDE the port area, it's a bit of a walk to the back of the port shopping, but skip all the tour operators wanting get you to buy a cab through them. Then find a great Beach Club, Restaurant on your own... walk down through the beach walk and don't pass up the $25 massages for 1hr!!! Why pay on the boat what you. An get for a 10nth of the cost.
Could use some help here. No direction. Little help from staff except to say line wraps into the Casino.
What is good to know, if you have priority disembarkation, make sure you use the lines in the Belvedere Bar area, so you exit on 6 is toward the back and back elevators. All other disembarking uses the main casino as a queue and the front elevator areas.
