Review summary

I would recommend this cruise as it explores areas of our beautiful United States that are untouched and breathtaking.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Convenient, no problems.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
There was plenty of food for most people. I wish they had more vegan/vegetarian options.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The hot tubs were used a lot due to the chilly days. There was enough of them so that they weren't packed with people. The fitness area had equipment needed to get in a good workout and had a steam room to use as well. While the ship had a library, it wasn't open often (only specific hours) so it was difficult to coordinate in order to use it, which was a disappointment.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The nightly entertainment was enjoyed. There was always dancing, music and some form of entertainment available each night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It was challenging to get from each area (forward, back) at times due to the layout of the ship. At times we would need to walk around the ship outside and then come back in and take an elevator up to a different floor, go back down a floor by steps in order to get to our destination. Had we been on the ship for a longer time I'm assuming we would have figured out our way around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Plenty of space and comfort for the 7 nights. The shower was great! The room was cleaned each day, which was very nice. Limited TV service in the rooms.

Ship tip

Familiarize yourself with the layout of the ship on the first day so that you don't spend time trying to find your way around.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

We only boarded in this town.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

5 out of 5
Beautiful, walkable. We did not do an excursion.

Sydney, Nova Scotia Did not visit port

Wanted to spend the day on the ship using the pool.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Historical town, walkable. We did not do an excursion.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
We rented bikes on our own and explored. There is a lot to see and experience in Portland.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Challenging getting off the ship due to the tender issue, however the crew worked really hard to get everyone on and off. We took a troller around town for a 30 minute tour. This was a separate excursion (not park of the ship). We located this once we were in Bar Harbor.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Our luggage was taken off the ship so we didn't have to deal with that. We were able to get up, have coffee and breakfast before we departed. I think the most annoying thing was the amount of people who positioned themselves by the door waiting to be called off the ship. This was true for all disembarking days. The areas would get so crowded that it was challenging to move.
