Review summary

Our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration cruise. To start, we contacted RCI January 26, 2023 for information to book a cruise to Bermuda and was assigned Jen Kelly. Jen is an energetic individual, handled two separate reservations without difficulty, and is a dedicated customer service representative. The cruise was special, having paid for a Vow Renewal package, and a dinner at Cagney's, which was delicious to say the least. Weather conditions forbit us to enjoy the outdoors, and some of the activities were not available but during certain times. We frequented the O'Sheehan's bar where the bartenders and waiters were exceptional. We were impressed with the local tour with Bootsy Baby. He provided us the history of Bermuda with stops at St. George and Hamilton. We all enjoyed the cruise.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Embarkation was confusing, with extremely long wait lines. Recommend NCL work with Boston Port to improve embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The meal at Cagney's was excellent. All dining rooms and buffet had great choices and excellent service.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Due to the weather conditions (cold and high winds) the outside pools were closed a few days. The bowling alleys were closed during the day.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The duet "DUO" were fantastic. The comedian should have been rated PG13 (noticed many guests walking out of the show). The musicians, other than "DUO" sang off-key most of the time.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
We did not take our children but reviewed your programs. We did hear alot of the kids saying they had a good time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All NCL personnel were very cordial and pleasant.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All areas that we were on were clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was perfect for two people. The bed was very comfortable. Room steward "Iwan" was super-sweet, cordial and pleasant.

Ship tip

Everything was great.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion, but we observed the workers were extremely courteous and willing to help.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
The port is well maintained. Recommend more shuttles for the handicap.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and well organized. The luggage was grouped by tag color and so easy to find.

Congrats on your 50th! We're going on our 10th. Sorry it was somewhat disappointing. Rc doesn't even offer a vow renewal. Have to pay for actual wedding onboard. At least that was an option for you.

You contacted RCI (Royal Caribbean) and yet you cruised on Norwegian. Better get your facts straight.
