Review summary

too much to type here. worst cruise I ever took.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
a lot of waiting around in the terminal.. if they book you for a 10am boarding they should be ready to let you on the ship by 10am. it was at least 2 hours before we got on the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
I have food allergies, I filled out the form from NCL regarding my allergies, they were NOT ready for me. Eating was a nightmare, the chefs didn't have a working knowledge of English so they had no idea how to help me. One of my party got food poisoning on the first full day and missed most of the trip

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
pools and hot tubs were overrun by small children, the shows were ok (aerialists were great) Not enough to do on the last 2 days, the schedule didn't have anything interesting to do

Entertainment

3 out of 5
aerialists were great, comedian was blah, the funniest part of his act was the audience members who interupted him, DJ didn't know how to mix songs very well,

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Cristina Cleofe was fantastic, our room steward was ok, bartenders too slow, and not enough of them,

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
outdated designs but fairly clean . layout was confusing.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
like all ships, it was tight but that is to be expected.. the toilet placement was difficult, my knees hit the wall, had to sit sideways. The shower head was horrible. The balcony dividers need to come down if wanted. we shared the cruise with the people next to us and wanted the divider down and they said no.

Ship tip

I"ll never do this ship again. It was so so.. a lot of things went wrong for us. some of the protocols don't make sense. Immigration day was a 3 hour fiasco, unorganized and we lost 3 hours of our vacation because of it

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

3 out of 5
I live here.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

3 out of 5
very expensive, didn't have enough time to see anything. too much walking to the tourist area, the shuttle needs to come up to the boat we had an elderly man with us who had a hard time walking to the excursion boat

Bar Harbor, Maine

4 out of 5
other than losing 3 hours of port time because of immigration ,tender it was cute

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
slow, and there was a major medical emergency on board so that person should have been removed from the boat as soon as we docked, not when everyone was out on the deck watching

I wish more passengers would write about the passport control and getting tickets for the tender boats. Waiting in line for such a long time is unacceptable! Disembarkation in Bar Harbor should be better organized.

Ohhh, I am sorry you did not have a good time. Don’t let that trip give you a bad view of cruising, they are not all bad like that one.

The fact that you LIVE in Boston and rate it only 3 stars says a lot. And you had the most number of complaints about your cabin but you gave it the highest rating. Most of what you found unappealing is standard on almost all ships. I'm hopeful one day you'll find perfection at sea.

Hope your next cruise is more to your liking

Thanks for sharing That's your time to get to the terminal so they can process you so you can board when the ship is ready
