average, not for younger people

there were times that we had to wait and look and look for a place to sit. the main eating area did not seem to accomadate large amounts of people at once, since there were long lines at times. at the "sit down" restaurants the choices were very limited and alot of the times the food was less than average...not the exceptional gourmet meals expected from such a prestigious cruise line

the onboard entertainment was average. nothing that i was excited about. i would like to have seen more upbeat activities and more of them in general. i found that there were activities that i would like but i had an excursion booked, and when we were at sea not much to choose from. the instruction for the cruise director was exceptional...would have been nice to be able to listen to it from our cabin...a speaker option in the cabin would have come in handy rather than having to open the door everytime there was an anouncement overhead...

in the description of the bars and restaurants they fail to mention that all the bars are sitting right next to each other....the name is bar city....there was a really neat area the martini bar...i would have like to hear some contemporary music in a bar like that but unfortunately that wasnt the case because right next to is was a piano bar that was the entertainment for the entire site....a real shame .. i would have like to enjoy my martinis there.. there's nothing wrong with a piano bar, if you're in the mood for it. .i would like the options of different sitting areas with a different experience and different music. i think norweigan, neglected the younger passengers and focused on the over 50 crowd...definately not for the younger crowd or party people...this cruise is for a very calm pace and mellow atmosphere...if ncl would create areas where for different interests...rather than making the entire cruise, as it seeme to me, an over 50 cruise, it would have been better.

the cabin itself was pleasant and very clean. good size and comfortable space. however it was in the aft and seemed to be right ovver some type of workshop or engine room and there was a lot of noise and banging heard at all hours
