Food and Dining

Le Bistro and La Cucina food and service were remarkable on this trip. Cagney's is typically a favorite however the service was lacking this time- food was still good. Main dining room, Savor, and Taste was enjoyable.

Onboard Activities

Plenty to do on the ship as well as entertainment. I especially appreciated being able to watch 2 Philadelphia Eagles games on the jumbo screens on the pool deck and Spice H20 as an added bonus.

The performances and musicians are fantastic. We really enjoyed the Elements show.

Service and Staff

Waiters, room steward, and entertainment staff work hard to provide an enjoyable experience. Tom was especially helpful and entertaining during Bingo and the evening pool deck parties.

Ship Quality

The Joy ship is a favorite as far as layout and design. We enjoyed spending time in the Observation deck as a central hub to relax and the Atrium always has something going on.

Cabin / Stateroom

My cabin was clean and the balcony view was lovely. I had to ask for 2 mattress pads because the bed was too firm and felt like there was a bar in the hip area. I also prefer the layout where the sofa is closer to the closet rather than the bed as it makes it hard to access the closet doors.

Ship tip

Take advantage of the Observation room and the library/game room. Staff are happy to help and should be acknowledged for the hard work. Also, be sure to check your onboard account regularly for appropriate charges.
