Review summary

We have cruised mainly on Royal Caribbean (RC) in the past and have also been on Celebrity, Carnival and Princess. NCL was fine when compared to RC and the Joy seemed to have many more bars and complimentary dining options.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Had 11:00 check-in but it seemed a bit chaotic as many other people were there as the same time

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Specialty dining was excellent for top restaurants; Main dining room menus were limited and we chose to then not eat there

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Mini Golf, Fitness Center, Pools

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Late night adult shows started too early as we had several specialty dining at that time. Lots of options and performers but nothing that really was "wow"

Children's Programs

No children!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Personell were friendly and accommodating.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Seemed clean but carpeting in rooms or public areas seemed a bit shabby

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
No issues

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
NCL offers free tender on their boat to St. Georges whereas Royal Caribbean does not.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Marjority of guests seemed to choose at leisure disembarkation and lines at elevators and elsewhere were long. Pole then starts cutting the lines.
