There are pros and cons with each cruise line. Lack of pools on a ship that has 2 days at sea was a big con. I would not go on NCL's Joy again, if sailing in the Caribbean. Overall food was very good.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The Manhattan Room was delicious! Cagney's Steakhouse was AMAZING - food and staff were top notch. Skip the Local Pub - went there twice, food marginal at best. Had a few days when only the Local Pub was available. Would be nice to have a pizza or sandwich place that was open when buffet and others are closed before dinner.
Onboard Activities

NCL Joy has 2 small swimming pools. We had 2 days at sea and you couldn't get near them. The Haven's private pool was empty. Seems like if you don't upcharge/pay for items you don't get them. Very disappointing.

Service and Staff

No more turn down bed service - room stewards only enter once a day.
Ship Quality

The ship's layout was odd, not a good flow. Only 2 banks of elevators, stairs are great but not if you want to go up or down 5 flights!
Cabin / Stateroom

NCL Joy's bathrooms were larger, especially the shower. Still not huge, but noticeably larger.
Ship tip
Go to the Observation Lounge - they have light breakfasts and snacks during the day!
Your review is on point. The vibe area and laser tag area commands so much space.
I wish another pool was developed. Love the the Brewhouse, Boardwalk, Beatles. And yes avoid the forward elevators at all costs, book the other stern…
