Long line up on embarkation due to lack of security staff.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at Cagney's, Le Bistro, La Cucina and Teppanyaki. All outstanding with portions that could have fed a family of 4. Dinner at Savor was good as well but found the Manhattan Room a bit too large for our liking. The food was good though. Usually love "The Local" but the chicken wings and artichoke dip we had were awful. Always good for breakfast there.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We're more relax and read a book people.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved Footloose. Elements was OK.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always helpful, friendly and a smile on their face.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Pretty small but I guess that's the norm now. If booking on this floor(15th) we found the sun was often blocked by the floor above.

Ship tip

The Observation lounge is a fantastic place to chill and watch the ocean go by.

Ports of call

New York, New York

4 out of 5
Just a tip. We drove from Canada and parked at the ferry terminal in Weehawken New Jersey. The terminal was directly across the street from the garage. We hopped on the ferry and walked to the ship. $20 a day for parking, $9 for the ferry.

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
Love Boston. Walked the city and had a nice lunch.

Portland, Maine

4 out of 5
Rode the narrow gauge train. Neat, but a bit on the boring side. Cool and damp so had a few pints and back on the ship.

Saint John, New Brunswick

4 out of 5
Again cool and rainy. Nice market to visit but with the weather headed back early.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Loved Halifax, it was our favorite port. Pier 21 had a nice museum and the prices were reasonable. Ate at the "Bicycle Thief" (outstanding) and a few pints at the Lower Deck.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Our last cruise out of New York was chaos. This was off the ship and through customs in 15 minutes.
