Review summary

Glad we did a Canada/New England cruise. Ship was fun, and especially enjoyed Beatles Revolution and Sid Gold’s piano karaoke. Food was great - preferred the Garden Cafe for variety, speed and quality. Enjoyed swimming in the heated pool by the kiddie water park. Only downside was that we both got Covid on the last day - despite wearing masks most of the time. Overall, glad we did it but wouldn’t re-do that itinerary.

Lots of space, large bathroom with tub as it’s a family size rom. nice unobstructed window for ocean view. Good for minimal ship movement - hardly felt anything.

Ports of call

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Loved this port. Walked up to the beautiful public gardens, then on to the Citadel fortress. Picked up some lunch at a deli and ate on the waterfront, overlooking the harbor. Relaxed, friendly town with a young vibe. Walked back to the ship along the waterfront, stopping to relax in a canvas hammock and purchase some gelato from a friendly student. Best port of the cruise and no excursion.

Took Shipmate excursion around town and out to Portland Head lighthouse. Fun tour.

Walked to downtown, Common, Public Gardens and Charles River. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Got a cab back to the ship.

Poured with rain all day. Signed up for shipmate Too 10 highlights tour, which was changed to tour to St Andrew seaside town due to large number of guests, according to tour company. Nice driver and guide who did their best but not much fun being dropped off in a town that was mostly closed in pouring rain. The tour company kindly mailed my husband’s drivers license, which he accidentally left on the bus.
