Review summary

Having taken a similar cruise to Bermuda 8 years ago, there were few surprises. If you like spending time on a beach, the 2-1/2 days there give you plenty of time for that and to explore.

Embarkation

Even being given a specific half hour to embark, it still took a good hour and a half before settling a foot on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I don’t ever think I’ve had a complaint about food on a cruise ship. And having open bar included is always a plus.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not too much going on here. As usual, the towel hogs took up pretty much every lounge chair by the pool. This was the first NCL ship that didn’t have shuffleboard on one of the decks. Mini beer pong at the Brew House was fun. Pretty much anything else fun (go carts, laser tag etc) cost extra.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Footloose was very good, Elements(magic) was excellent. We also made a point to catch all the comedy shows. The adult show was especially funny!

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Our cabin was taken care of by Carlos. He went above and beyond, to make up our cabin perfectly. Waiters and bartenders were top notch.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was a pretty standard NCL ship, with familiar restaurants in their usual places. No complaints about cleanliness.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Having a large shower was the real plus here, with nozzles aimed at all the right places. A little larger than a standard balcony cabin.

Ports of call

Did a self guided scavenger type hunt. Overall it was fun, but instructions on how to begin could’ve been more informative. Also, suggesting you have a fully charged cell phone would’ve been helpful, as you can use an interactive map that eats up a lot of power.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Our second trip to Bermuda. We got a 2 day pass for public buses and ferries that take everywhere you want to go. Strongly suggest the local fish sandwich!

Disembarkation

Zipped out of there without a problem.
