Review summary

Ok but not spectacular. Need more ports where activities are within walking distance. Roatan has small shopping area,Costa Maya doest let you use their lounge chairs if you don't order drink even if you purchase stuff at stores. Harvest Caye is spectacular and line should do overnight stay there or go twice during cruise. Activities after 11pm for those of us that are older are nonexistent

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Had nights that service was a bit slow.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Daytime is a bit dead. Need to use bars to have live music through out day. Way too many trivia games

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I give it a 5 based on the production shows. "Elements" in particular was one of the best shows I have ever seen on cruise. The nightclub though leaves lot to be desired for the older folks. After 11pm or so there isn't anything left to do unless you want to listen to music with sexual innuendo and lots of acts on floor . The ships that leave Miami have a large contingency of patrons that grew up in clubs listening to 70s and 80s music and we have no option but going to bed because we get little to none of that at club.

One question....You say they need better ports at the beginning of the review. Did you not do youre research beforehand about what goes on there? Before I book a cruise I check out ports that the ship is going to. When I go on the Joy next year I plan to stay on ship at one port of call as I am not interested in that port. The other three ports I really want to go to. I did that on my last cruise as well.
