Disastrous never want to experience anything like we all went through like that again being turned away from almost every port we tried to dock at then being dumped .
Embarkation
4 out of 5
All went fine
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food on the whole was good though the menus were a bit repetitive in the main dining room. The buffet restaurant was ok but the food wasn't very hot at times.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Usual stuff on a cruise ship quizzes etc, swam in the pool
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The entertainment was again a bit repetitive in some cases. We enjoyed the it though so a big thumbs up to them all . And thanks to all the entertainers that put on extra shows to help us get through our ordeal. We also enjoyed the crew show .
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
A big thanks to the crew , they were brilliant. They must have been as worried as we were about our situation and what was to become of them and their families during the Corona crisis.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The increased sanitation measures put extra pressure on the crew as they strove to keep the ship clean and virus free.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had a mid ship cabin with balcony. As with most standard cabins on ships it wasn't that spacious but adequate and pleasant and clean.
Ship tip
The ship was fine .it was the circumstances we all found ourselves in on this particular voyage. But if there is one piece of advice I can recommend ... ask if they have fixed the engines yet before booking.
Made unnecessarily to sit on a coach in the docks at 4.30am for four and a half hours before being escorted to a remote area of the airport like criminals.
So sorry for your inconvenience. Bummer.... But let me tell you what it cost us. The people of Hawaii. Our Govenor Ige stood before us in a press conference 2 days before you arrived. (He had previously promised a 30 moratorium on cruise ships to our ports because of what had just happened.) So in this press conference he said to us that you were coming. That you would be allowed to dock, but not disembark. Only refuel and resupply and go on to San Diego. He said these words knowing he had already made arrangements the day before with the captain of your ship to disembark because your ship had mechanical problems. He stood before us and lied to us. He betrayed us. And because of this it WILL cost him his office. If not by repeal, by voting him out when the time comes. All he had to do was tell the truth. We are a small, isolated group of islands. We have very limited resources. San Diego has much more. I am a cruiser. I just came off of the Norwegian Joy Panama Canal Feb 14 to March 1st. I am not anti cruising by any means. But to hear you complain about an inconvenience of sitting on a bus for a couple of hours is hideous. And bit*th about having to go in a back way, being treated like criminals is disgusting. You were basically being quarantined in route to be safe. As we now know 50% of Covid19 positive people show no symptoms while shedding the disease. Shame on you. Ungrateful and ignorant comments!!
