Review summary
Overall the cruise was good. This was my first cruise and I would go on another. However, the food was subpar, I have had better at other buffets. Breakfast was the best overall along with the desserts. Most of the time lunch and dinner was ok for the buffet even though there was a wide selection. The other paid dining areas were nothing to write home about. Several times, each time a reservation was made, my group and I still had to wait for a good 20 minutes to be seated even though visibly there were tables unoccupied. If I had to choose, Cagney's steakhouse was the best. The views of the ports and glacier parks were some of the best views that we had. We were extremely lucky during our cruise that there was only one day of rain and that was very manageable. Would recommend on getting a balcony room to be able to see the views from the room. Entertainment on the boat were mostly game shows (Deal or No Deal, Newlyweds, etc.) and several musical and information productions. The productions were good, it gave something else to do to pass the time. I did not do any of the game shows since it was something I was not interested in. There could be a wider variety of activities to do. The spa was very accommodating and clean, as well as the gym. The pools and hot tubs were nice and you can get into them without having to wait for other to exit. The staff members overall were polite and accommodating. I did not have a bad experience with any member. You could tell some of the staff members were ready for the Alaska season to be over, but I cannot fault them for that.Embarkation

Ship tip
Get a balcony view, you can still see everything off the deck even with the rest of the passangers but it would have been nice to be able to see everything from the comfort of the room as well. Ship does make turns so one side is not excluded from views.
