Review summary

Our family truly enjoyed our 7-day cruise to the Mexican Riviera.  The excursions met our expectations and the food was delicious. However, it was a shame the lobster meal cost an extra $24.99.  That would have been over $100 extra for our family. ( We had a free lobster meal on the Norwegian cruise to Alaska a few months ago  and a free lobster meal on Celebrity across the Atlantic.)   On the plus side, the Norwegian staff is truly remarkable--extremely helpful and friendly.  The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage for our belongings. The entertainment was superb!  Much better than we've seen before.  We would definitely recommend anyone to travel on the Norwegian Jewel.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was kept very clean. The carpet was stained, but we were told the ship would be refurbished in a couple of years. Lots of storage, nice window view, comfortable beds. It did lack comfortable sitting. It only had a stool and a hard-backed chair. Needed help there.
