Review summary

My favorite part of the cruise was the way the staff treated me, considering everything we went through. What could be improved is corporate needs to take the ship off a cruise to preform maintenance. We found out a few days before we left that  we were going to miss our stop in Mazatlan for some Maintenance. We ended up sitting in Puerto Vallarta for over two days because the maintenance didn't go as planned. We left after midnight and didn't find out we were going to miss Cabo San Lucas until after 9 am the day we were supposed to go there. The crew was great and made sure people had fun but Corp. needs to do something different. There were many pissed off people.

I look at the new comment and some online. Very interesting NCL would make such decision of with all the positives they have as a fleet. The Azipod system need more than a quick maintenance compliance which is done on normal operations. These quality control items are done to not require out of service a event. Such as 1 of the drive motors down while other cover. Power Generator off line as other cover. Testing of back up resources. If some needed a 2+ out of service fix then more than maintenance. All vessel functions are monitored real time to Fleet Command and Control to assist Caption and Marine Crew control critical parts of the vessel. Docking. Piloting, Engine Room operations are for onboard crew to control. I bet they flew in people and parts to change during the 2 days. Big decision to run the vessel from LA to the port in Mexico to do the fix. I wonder if the real issue will surface. It will stop at a meeting of CEO and CEO. It will be put into the quarterly report to the board molded for viewing. It was worse than we thought due to the sensor being bad.
