Review summary

This cruise was sadly disappointing because the itinerary was changed the day before the cruise.  One of the Alaskan ports was eliminated, Skagway.  Another port was shortened, Juneau.  The Sawyer Glacier was replaced with a trip to Dahl Glacier which was indeed dull.  The staff tried to stay upbeat but the passengers were not happy.

I am on cruise now. I agree about buffet. The only nice staff seem to be the greeters at the door to buffet. Mist times it seems the ladies are talking to each other about personal stuff and you have to wait until they are done to help you. It's like you are bothering them.

I was on this same cruise. The itinerary was change because the ship need repairs. So, it had to come into Seattle port earlier. As soon as I got the email which was about 4 days before the cruise. I called Norwegian and ask them for more details and if I would be refund for a excursion in Skagway, they said yes and that $100.00 per state room had been refund. Anyway they refund everyone a days cruise. Which I know does not make up for not seeing the places, but that they did not have to do that because it said when you book itinerary may change. I also found out it was up to the Caption on what to change not NLC as a whole. I did notice on the first day people were little sad. But the next days I did not notice it as much. Only thing I noticed was the food at the buffet was not as good as my last cruise on the Jewel. I enjoyed my cruise for the most part. The older I get the more I learn to just go with it. Their is nothing I can do might as well make the most of it. My mother and I even put reservation down for another cruise with Norwegian. I thought the Glacier was pretty nice. This was my first Alaskan cruise so I have nothing to compare it too.

Why was the itinerary changed? Was it due to weather? We are leaving on this cruise Sep 3. What can we expect?
