Review summary
This was our fifth cruise, but our first on Norwegian. We were pleased with the experience. The food was a good quality. We tried two of the Specialty restaurants, Cagney's (absolutely delicious) and Le Bistro (good). Overall we enjoyed the entire experience, but there is a lack of customer service/interaction with the servers in the restaurants. This left so much to be desired. The servers are basic waiters who are not able to make recommendations nor are they familiar with the menu. Mostly you will only be greeted with "Are you ready to order?". This was disappointing having been accustomed to being attended to in abundance on our previous cruises on a different cruise line. With that being said, we paid less than half for this 7 night vacation than we did on previous 7 nights on another cruise line. So, overall, we were very pleased with the value and the quality of the food. We also enjoyed the Unlimited Beverage Package as a special promotion and this was so enjoyable and such a money saver. The cocktails were well prepared and not watered down. The variety of cocktails was impressive. We would definitely consider Norwegian again. If Norwegian was able to train their servers to be intuitive, amiable and customer oriented, they would have a golden product.
