Review summary

The Jewel is a beautiful ship and the service was good. We were disappointed in the size of the balcony staterooms. We have been on quite a few cruises and a number of different lines but our room was never this small. The room steward did not seem quite as attentive as he should have been.

The food was good and service was good in the dining rooms and at the  buffet.

I think a lot of little things were omitted like the chocolate on your pillow. We missed Lobster night and different things like that., Entertainment was good for the most part. We enjoyed the entertainment in the lounges as much as on the big stage.

Carnival ships usually have bigger staterooms than the industry average. I have not been on an NCL ship in quite awhile.   Usually the cabin steward are conscientious on all cruise lines, too bad yours wasn't.  Gloria
