Review summary

Cape Town the best by far, cruise itinerary lacking. Significant gastro / food poisoning illness on board, which NCL tried to cover up

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick, on board by 11:30am

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Garden cafe offerings a little repetitive, but ok. Jasmine ok once or twice but again a little predictable. Of the 4 speciality restaurants, Cagneys clearly the best, Moderno close behind, Teppanyaki fun, La Cucina slightly disappointing

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Lacking throughout, you are limited particularly on at sea days. Trivia, putting, bean bag, hoopla comp fun once or twice but appear everyday with little variation.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not bad, but NCL cancellation main show with no explanation.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Functional, but seemed to be going through the motions a little.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Fine, but you will get a little confused by layout at times

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Fine, reasonably midship and reasonably quiet

Ship tip
