Very good itinerary but have decided that we like the newer ships in the Breakaway class better than the Jewel class ships.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food at Cagney's, La Cucina and Le Bistro were excellent. Offerings in the Main Dining rooms were totally acceptable, but nothing above average.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We were fairly disappointed in the number of activities offered on this cruise. The itinerary was a 10 day Southern/Western Carribbean; it seemed as if they used the same offerings of a 7 day cruise and tried to stretch them out to accommodate 10 days. Thankfully, we were in port 5 of those days. Rarely heard announcements regarding specific activities that were beginning to take place; only 1 announcement in the morning for the entire days activities.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Compared to the entertainment offered on The Getaway, the quality of the shows and performers was mediocre at best. The best offering was Elements; other than that, I was not impressed.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As a guest in the Havens, we received wonderful attention from our cabin steward, butler and concierge. We did spend a good amount of time at night in the casino, and after only 2 days, the servers knew our names and beverage preferences! Very impressed with the servers in all dining/drinking venues.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
As the ship had refurbished within the last year, the decor was nice and we never had the impression that we were on an "older" ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Having been in The Havens on The Getaway on 2 previous cruises, we were disappointed in The Havens on the Jade. We were in a 2-bedroom suite, which was absolutely fabulous. The disappointment was more with the Havens "garden". There is no dedicated Havens Restaurant and Bar like on the newer ships. Therefore, the service during the day by the pool was spotty at best. We ended up going down to Topsiders for any beverages that we wanted. That in itself is not a big deal, but at the prices that NCL charges for Havens cabins, I would expect better service. My advice....The Havens are absolutely worth the cost on the newer ships that were built for The Havens, but on the older ships that have been retro-fitted, I would save your money and just do a balcony, or "normal" suite.
There is not much at Falmouth. All excursions are in Ocho Rios which is about a 45 minute drive from the port. We selected a private tour to The Blue Hole and would highly recommend this excursion. Much less crowded than Dunn's River Falls and every bit as good, if not better.
Beautiful port. We opted to strike out on our own; did some shopping, grabbed lunch and then hit up Surfside beach for a few hours. Very clean area, and felt safe the entire time.
Our favorite port of the ABC's. It's absolutely beautiful and has a very "quaint" feel. Visited the Hato Caves, the Curacao Liqueur factory and then spent the rest of the day at Cabana beach resort. It was a wonderful beach, with bar/food service and beach chairs available. We would love to go back and stay for a week!
Very small and flat island. Took a tour around the island and learned about the Salt flats. Then headed to the beach again. Not my favorite beach....very, very rocky from all of the coral, but beautiful waters.
