Review summary

The main problem I had with this cruise line is that they took out elegant night and lobster night. I also did not like that they switched the itinerary and did not offer and alternative in case we did not want to take this cruise. I travel for the ports and I have already been to the ports we visited multiple times and I would not have chose this cruise if it was going to them. I chose this cruise for the original ports. I understand there was a hurricane and that is the reason for the change I just believe it would have been a nice gesture for the cruise line to allow us to cancel this one and rebook onto another cruise for another date. I did not want my money back I just wanted to visit the original ports.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The specialty dining restaurant Cagney's was the best restaurant was the best on the ship. We went there three times out of ten nights. The rest of the food was mediocre.

Please understand as it states in your Cruise contract that they can change ports with no notice. They cannot control the weather or conditions that are going on in the porch. They have to look out for the safety of the best for the passengers of the cruise.

The problem is everyone wants cheap fares. To offer those cheap fares cruise lines need to fill each ship every sailing. Otherwise in an event like a hurricane everyone would cancel and the ship is empty. To cover a situation like that they would need to increase all fares all year long to average out and cover one or two cruises where everyone wants to cancel. Who wants higher fares so they can have flexibility? No one. So we all sign a contract accepting they can alter the itinerary. When it happens now people want flexibility but they don't want higher fares. You can't have it both ways. Simple solution - buy travel insurance. Of course that costs money so people don't buy it them when something happens they still want flexibility despite low fares and failing to buy insurance. Read the contract you are agreeing to. Buy insurance. Pretty simple.

Actually sounds like a reasonable expectation @seannaw44. Sorry they didn’t give you options.
