We picked this cruise because it was the only one that worked with our large family's schedule, and not for the ship, the cruise line, the itinerary, or anything else. We had a great time, but we probably wouldn't cruise NCL again. This is our 9th cruise overall, 2nd cruise with them, and we just haven't been impressed with NCL. My daughter and her husband cruised last year with Carnival for their honeymoon, and they said they preferred Carnival over NCL. That's rather a sad state of affairs. The ship needs a makeover, the menus need a makeover, and we'll spend our money elsewhere next time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food seemed so-so. Steak was tough. Not many shrimp choices over the week. Lobster was available for $24.99 every night in the "free" dining room. Some of the family went to the Brazilian restaurant and raved about it.
Onboard Activities

Ok, but we've have more choices on other crusies
Entertainment

The dining room was so slow that we only made it to 2 shows in a week. We usually go every night to the show, so that was a disappointment to us.
Service and Staff

Our cabin steward was wonderful.
Ship Quality

The ship just seemed "tired". The decor was garrish in my opinion. Our curtain was held together with multiple safety pins.
Cabin / Stateroom

Nice cabin. Nice balcony. Nice bathroom with a door to the toilet and a door to the shower--best bathroom we've had on a cruise. Curtain held together with safety pins made things seem in need of repair.
Enjoyed the kayaking at the West End shore excursion through NCL. The snorkeling there had to go through a lot of sea grass before you got to the snorkeling, so that wasn't the best snorkeling. Then the guides wanted you to stay away from the reef for safety, yet that's where the pretty fish were. The kayaking and snack at Cannibal Cafe was great.
Wow...The last time we sailed with Norwegian was last year on the Sun and had a blast.
The CD and his cruise staff crew were excellent and really did a wonderful job. Richard the CD was always out and about,.meeting guest when going ashore and coming back from excursions. The hotel director who we had on the Norwegian Majesty in 2008 was great and also was out and about. I'm glad I got to cruise on this ship. A small ship, great to get around and homey.
We went to Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel. We've been to Belize in 2008 and Cozumel in 2010. All in all, we had a great time.
