Review summary

Unhappy staff meant the service was not as good as other cruises I have been on. NCL now charges $7.95 for room service. This seems high and another attempt to nickel and dime the customer. The tendering to ports was very poor. It took 2 hours in some cases and port times were not very long to begin with.

Food waqs good for the most part. The buffet is not that great. Mostly crowded and loud. Main dining room was better but needed more variety. The specialty restaurants were very good except for Brazillian Steak House. It was loud and they did not know what they were doing. Was a very negative dining experience.

The Jade arrives at 8 and the Dawn arrives at 9. It should be printed in the daily the night before.

How early? Will they announce when you can get off the ship?

When the Dawn and the Jade are the only 2 ships at Coxen Hole, that is what they will do. The Dawn gets priority, but the Jade gets in an hour earlier, so as long as the Jade is running on schedule, they will try to dock for 45 minutes or so, so that the early birds can walk off the ship.

We were given the choice in Roatan to get up early and walk off the ship at the port. After a certain amount of time if you waited then you had to tender. After a wait in Belize, we opted to get up early and walk off and that was much better!

Not OP, but on the same itinerary in a few weeks. The Jade docks at Cozumel, then tenders at Belize & Roatan.
