Review summary

Do not miss people about where they are disembarking!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation on the ship as easy and quick. Note though that it’s an hour away from Rome city center and is expensive to get to the port- not to mention you need to account for the hour travel time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was average at the buffet but much nicer in the main dining room. We sailed Norwegian a few years ago and I felt like the quality of the buffet food went down since our last cruise.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Kids loved Splash Academy and Entourage. My family did the ropes course several times and enjoyed the water slides. Also participated in Atrium activities. Felt like the staff that oversaw the atrium games and activities didn’t really know what they were doing. Activity staff should be better.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great performers. Syds group wasn’t as strong this time around and really, they should be moved to the illusionarium venue because there’s just too many people that try to crowd thy tiny space in Syds to watch a band perform.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My kids loved it although it was a little redundant. I recommend giving parents the option to check their kid into Entrouage. I didn’t like that it wasn’t an option to check in your young teen into the programming.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
They need WAY more customer service staff at the desk on the first day and the last two days. Waiting way too long in lines for customer service help.

Ship tip

Do not say Venice (Trieste). We were VERY upset to find out a few days before disembarkcation that Trieste is NO where near Venice. It should NOT be advertised as such. It was a total pain to get to Venice from Trieste and it was false advertising and very misleading to think we were disembarking in Venice. Shame on Norwegian for promoting it that way.

Ports of call

TRIESTE (VENICE), ITALY

2 out of 5
Stop saying Venice- it’s NO where near Venice!!!!!!!!! Norwegian misguided many cruisers!!! Super upset about the dishonesty. Trieste is no where near Venice and it took a couple trains to get to actual Venice. Super upset at Norwegian for misleading us about where we were disembarking.

Rijeka, Croatia

3 out of 5
No excursion. Honestly, most ports felt the same.

Zadar, Croatia

2 out of 5
Is this suppose to be Split? If so, Split isn’t worth the stop.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

4 out of 5
One of the only ports that felt more unique. All the other ports were sort of same old; same old

Corfu, Greece
