Ship: Norwegian Getaway

Traveled as: Large Group

Review summary

I had an ok time l, I would not go back on a small Norwegian ship again. The staff were ok, the food was blah and the same everyday. We weren’t able to utilize any of the stuff outside that we wanted to. No shows, all excursions sold out. Just one of the worst cruises I have been on

Embarkation

It was long, but fairly easy. The customer service representatives were nice and helpful

It was the same good day after day, but Cagneys was really good. It was probably The best steak I have ever had!

We loved the Getaway was on it last April (we didnt have kids with us so potentially a different view) but we found the evening entertainment had a great choice, main theatre show every night, headliners comedy club, Syd Normans pour house and the Mojito Bar some great evenings, but appreciate if we had kids most of those options would not be available. Agree Cagneys was excellent as was Ocean Blue and the Tepanyaki imho.

You're saying the getaway was a small ship. No it's not because a small ship would be the sun and the sky

Getaway is the sister ship to breakaway. It is the Breakaway class ships and I've been on the Breakaway in 2014. Sometimes the smallest ship is nice because it's not that big and not a lot of people. If you want a bigger ship then go on the Prima but that's bigger.
