Review summary

We have been on several cruise's with other cruise lines. NCL out of NY was the absolute worst cruise we have ever been on and will NEVER go on another NCL line again.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
1.5 hours waiting on the longest line I have ever been on to get on the boat. Total pandamonium at the NY cruse terminal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
We could never get a reservation in any of the good restaurants. We had to eat in the 'Cafeteria' most of the time. Horrid food.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Used the fitness center. Not clean.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
We got into two shows. One was great the other was poor. The entertainment around the ship outside of formal shows was so bad.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Barely a smile anywhere.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
No hand washing stations. We were packed on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our cabin was ok. Had a balcony room. IT was tight but clean and comfortable.

Ship tip

Don't go. Every time you trun around they are charging you for more money. For example, the coffe was so bad we had to buy starbucks every day.

Ports of call

New York, New York

Disembarkation

Chaos - very unclear instructions, huge wait lines to get off.

An hour in a half lol. Before covid, it took that long.I board after the Haven during covid it took 3/4 hours to get on the ship.

NCL was already bad last year when I cruised on the Epic. It seems to have gone down even further as far as the guest experiences go. Old style muster drill, nickel and diming, bad food, overcrowded, slow... Investors, however, seem content as NCL having let go thousands of crew increased the bottom line. I'll avoid NCL for the foreseeable future

I hope the operations on NCL get back to the way they used to run pre-pandemic soon🙄

Lots of complaints about NCL cruises lately. Seems like they are struggling a little more than others now.
