Review summary

We had times of relaxation & fun, which is what we needed. We were just a little bit disappointed in the lack of entertainment because we were bored so much of the time.

Embarkation

Good

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Not as good as other cruises that I have been on. Moderno was excellent!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Did not really apply to us.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The few shows you had were very good. We were very disappointed that there weren’t more shows. Therefore, we were bored most of the time.

Children's Programs

We don’t have any small children or teens.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters & ship personnel were all very pleasant. We were disappointed in our room steward in the fact that he never learned our name like the others did on other cruises.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean areas, but not enough seating in the atrium since that is where we stayed most of the time due to lack of entertainment.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our cabin. Very clean & just the right size for us.

Ship tip

It is a very large ship with over 4,000 passengers so you don’t get as much attention as you do on a smaller ship.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
This is where we got on the ship so no excursions.

Harvest Caye, Belize

3 out of 5
Oh my goodness!! This port had the longest walkway!! It was Norwegian’s private port, but not much to see.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
Again, a long walk & not much to see. No excursions here.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
This was where all of the shopping took place. It was a LOT of walking, but it was worth it. No excursions.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
There was no announcement as to when we were cleared or where to go so we were waiting in our room. Our steward was the one who saw us & told us we could go. Once we got in line with our luggage(we chose to carry our own) the line went quick.

I have never been bored on a cruise. The Ship offers games to play, walk around the ship, meet new people, meet the staff and more. It’s all in what you make of it.

I have never been bored on a cruise. I do not need to be entertained at all times

It's always a good idea to research the ports you will be visiting and entertainment available onboard before booking the cruise A good way to burn off all those calories consumed on the ship is walking and in most ports there is an excessive amount of walking to do.

There were 2 stage shows, variety shows, comedians, dueling pianos, and always something at the atrium. Plus 2 theme nights, art talks, etc. If you were bored, you didn’t look hard enough.
