Review summary

Very disappointed. Staff was unfriendly and sometime rude. If you’re a smoker, you will be accommodated with a smoking cage beside the main pool, a small area on deck 8 and another small area on deck 16. There is also smoking in the casino IF you are playing. Food was ok but not great. If you call for room service, be prepared for a long wait. When the ship docks EVERYTHING shuts down including the bars. They force you to leave the ship.

We had a jerk who kept dumping there ashes on our balcony every single day then a lit cigarette one of the days.... we had a little one with us. Be happy they have multiple places for you to smoke the escape doesn’t. I think everyone has a right to do there own thing but be considerate of others.

On port days the Bars are not only open.... But are almost empty compared to sea days!

That makes no sense. We are sailing on the Getaway for the2nd time in February. We stayed on board at one port and had a blast at two different smoking bars...

No one is forced off the ship, and the bars remain opened while in port, otherwise the alcohol package would be nul and void.

Vdolden, are we supposed to feel sorry for you? You should be thankful that you can even smoke anywhere on the ship. Fire is the biggest fear on a ship! Not to mention the hazzard of second hand smoke.

I stayed on the getaway in Cozumel and had so many drinks. The bars are definitely open! Casinos and shops are always closed in port. I think you should be happy they let you smoke inside the ship at all. It smells the ship up and for asthmatics it makes going to the casino very miserable and almost impossible for some.

Everything is open on the ship just a casino is closed in the stores because they have to pay taxes that's obvious and let's be honest the ship will be better with no smoking period on it just like an airplane

We were on the Getaway in February 2018 and no one was forced to leave the ship. Only the stores and casino close. Lots if people stay on board. The bars are definitely open.

When the ship is in port the casino and shops shut down. No one is EVER forced to leave the ship except for disembarcation day.

We do ncl all the time so very surprised to hear everything shuts down thats never happened when we have sailed with them as for them forcing you to leave the ship again thats the first time I have heard anything like that they can't force passengers off if you have paid for your cruise then you have every right to stay on if you want or maybe it was the end of your cruise then they can make you leave
