Review summary

We got the specialty dining plan through . La Bistro was quite good, Cagney's was excellent, when we went to Ocean Blue, we were told there was an additional $16/person service charge even with the dining plan. We went to one of the included restaurants instead. Overall, we didn't think there were adequate facilities for the number of passengers. "Express Disembarkation" involved standing in a line to get off for close to 2 hours.

As a past Norwegian customer, we expected preferred embarkation but wound up in the cattle line with everyone else. They also had several computer problems which further slowed up the process

The meals were excellent, even in the complementary dining venues. Cagney's Steakhouse was one our best meals ever.

Warning--if you have the Specialty Dining plan, there is an additional $16/person up charge at Ocean Blue. Definitely not worth it. Go somewhere else.

One of the best meals we've ever had on a cruise ship. The staff was friendly and efficient. They treated us like you used to be routinely treated on a cruise. Top shelf!

We felt that the dining room staff were generally above average.

Ship Quality

Poorly designed ship. Inadequate facilities for over 4,000 guests. There was one tiny pool with acres of deck chairs--but there were still not enough. A lot of the entertainment was in "The Atrium" which was too small and generally so noisy that you couldn't always tell what was going on--if you managed to squeeze in.
