Review summary
We love NCL and the Getaway. We've been on the Getaway four times total and love this ship. We were accompanied by nine of our family members who were all first time cruisers and everyone had a blast. I'm pretty sure this will not be anyone's last cruise. The entire experience was great except for disembarkation and in our six previous disembarkations we had never experienced anything like what we had on this trip. The ship arrived late into port and the normal access areas for disembarkation were roped off. People were stacked in front of the elevators and on the stairs and the announcements were few and far between. People were at the port for embarkation as we were trying to disembark and it was a mess.Embarkation

Ship tip
Skip the buffet and eat your meals in the main dining room. Buffet food is good, people eating there are ridiculous.
