All in all we LOVED the ship. Buy the dining/drinking package and prepare to be wowed.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was Fantastic!! We got there a little bit later than we would have liked, but it was NO problem. We got there at 2PM and were on the ship and in our stateroom by 2:30pm. We had our luggage by 4:30PM ... I give this an A++

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Ok, here is the deal with the food. I did NOT like the buffet. I thought it was a 4 out of 10 AT BEST. A lot of items with no taste and a lot of items left out way too long. I am talking about items like potato salad and pasta salad (Think Mayonnaise) that had no business being out for hours. If you wanted a hot dog or a Hamburger, I suppose you could get by, but the buffet was VERY disappointing to me. Tiny salad bar as well. Hot dogs out the wazoo, but lettuce was hard to come by. The buffet itself is gigantic, but the food repeats every 20 feet or so :( The Dining Room(s) (Taste and Savor) were OUTSTANDING!! Whether it was for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they never disappointed us. The food was appealing to look at and even better to eat. I had no issues with the service at either of these dining rooms. Some examples of what we got were pork loin over Eggplant & Zucchini, New York Strip Steak, Eggs Benidict. The appetizers were always tasty and if I had to grade, I give the dining rooms 9 out of 10. The specialty restuarants really stole the show. I understand that people have a heartache with Norwegian upcharging to use these places, but we TOTALLY thought it was worth it. The wife and I are competitive eaters in our off time, so we felt it would be wise to buy a dining package and BOY ARE WE HAPPY we did. If you are on this cruise for Awesome food I highly recommend you get the dining package. You can pay a la carte, but why?? I will rate each restaurant we went to: Le Bistro: I took the wife here for her birthday (April 25) and it was MAGNFICENT!! Escargot for appetizers, a beautiful salad before the meal, and then the most delicious seared scallops for the wife, and I got a Fantastic Shrimp and scallop medely over a white broth. Unlimited Bread and butter and even French Press coffee at the end. I give this restuarant a 9 out of 10. Teppenyaki: As the name would have you believe, this was a Japanese place (Hibachi actually). This restuarant wins the award for the best of the cruise. The chefs were funny, engaging, and my 4 year old LOVED THEM. The food was plentfiul and tasty. I got Shrimp and Scallops and my wife got Steak and Shrimp. They kept the beer flowing and served great Miso Soup and Seaweed Salad. I would give this restaurant at 9.5 out of 10 (only my mother gets a perfect 10) Cagneys Steak House: This is the restaurant I looked forward to the most, and sadly I was underimpressed with my particular steak. I got a ribeye that was cooked perfectly and looked appetizing. Sadly, when I started cutting into it, I realize there was a lot of grizzle. If you are a steak eater, you know that ribeye's are fatty steaks but they should have NO grizzle. I was disappointed because I expect this type of steak at Outback or Texas roadhouse. The sides were good and the steak (minus the tons of grizzle) was tasty. I am NOT a picky eater, and I can overlook a lot, but this was a lower quality cut of meat dressed up to look pretty. The wife got a Filet that was cooked PERFECT and was perfect!! No fat, red center, and soft like butter. Her steak gets a 9.5 out of 10, but I would give the restaurant a 7 out of 10. You can't serve crap steaks at premium prices. Raw Bar: I went here alone and it was as advertised. I got oysters, clams, shrimps, Ceviche, Salmon Tartar and they were all fabulous. The wait was slightly excessive, but the food made up for it. I give this place an easy 9 out of 10. Again, if you are going for "The Food" make sure you buy a dining package or pay a la carte. The specialty restaurants are a MUST VISIT and everything was fantastic. If I could change anything I would buy a 5 day dining package vs a 4 day :) :) They have a Brazillian Steakhouse I would have liked to check out, as well as an Italian place. I'll save those for the next time.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We went swimming and we didn't find the pools overly crowded. Mostly we did the slides. They have 5 slides onboard including 2 vertical drop slides. They were thrilling, they were fun, and the lines were never too long. My son did the Rock Climbing wall and loved it. My wife did the Ninja course and loved it. I watched them both and drank beer. Activities get a 9 out of 10.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We saw "Burn the Floor" and we saw "Cirque and Steam"... Burn the floor was fantastic and energetic, with tons of dancing, but Cirque has a truly thrilling show. It was broadway quality stuff onboard a ship at sea. We went to the adult comedy club as well and we loved it. Very good entertainment on the ship. 9 out of 10
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
Another highlight of the cruise. The Splash Academy made this whole cruise worthwhile. It was free of charge to drop the kiddos off from 9AM to 10:30PM (closing for lunch and dinner) and then you could keep them there until 1:30AM (for 6 bucks per hour). Kids are kept behind locked gates and require two cruise cards (yours and theirs) and an account password to be picked up. I commend the wonderful staff for the fantastic show the kids put on on the last day of the cruise. These guys get a 10 out of 10
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Never met my steward, but my room was always clean. I never had a problem at any restaurant, and although the bars can get crowded, I never waited more than 10 minutes for anything. I read some negative reviews about the service, but I did NOT experience anything bad.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was perfect for two adults with a child. We got the bed, he got the couch. The balcony was small, but awesome. No problems at all with the accommodations.
Ship tip
Buy the dining package if you like food. Buy the drink package if you like drinks. If you want to get off the ship quickly, use the self assist debarkation. You have to carry you own luggage, but we were off the ship and through customs by 8:10AM (7AM docking)
This was my least favorite place. Once you left the port it was NOT a nice place. The eyes were always on you, and you couldn't walk for 10 seconds without somebody trying to sell you things. We ended up at 40 Canyones and it was good. This wasn't an actual beach, but more of a warm puddle while the beach was 200 feet off shore. We paid 60 bucks per person, which was a rip off, but we got lunch and our beers were always filled. I would NOT come back to this port again if you paid me.
Norwegian private Island. They have a pool, they have a crowded beach and they have a splash pad. The shops are all overpriced as are the drinks. If you think you are going to "Belize", you are NOT. You can take a 25 dollar ferry to the mainland, but that takes you to a small fishing village and you get about 2 hours to 'explore' before you have to get back on the ferry. Nice place, but overpriced. I wouldn't come back here.
We liked Honduras. We hung out at a beach club and then we went to see the monkey's, Sloth's and Birds. Overpriced but good people and good sites made up for it.
