Review summary

Wonderful relaxing vacation. Belize was my favorite stop! This was my 7th cruise, 3rd time sailing with NCL. The only big negative....was WiFi, on other cruise lines I could stay connected with family and friends. It was way too expensive on the Getaway! Also the Casino was so Smoky I couldn’t even walk thru it let alone play there! Even non-smoking part was disgustingly smoky!

So smoky, couldn’t even walk through to get to other areas of the ship! Went one floor down to get to the front of the ship. Couldn’t stand to play even though I love the casino!

Very small balcony, bedding very worn and sometimes stained, looks like it needs to be refurbished!

Ship tip

The cost for WiFi was outrageous! NCL should re-evaluate this, Royal Caribbean has excellent WiFi choices!

I would give this port 6 stars if I could! Very clean, bathrooms and shops staffed with helpful friendly staff. This was my favorite stop! Pool is amazing!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Decks 6-8 are the main conduits from bow to stern, but the smoke from 7 is detected on deck 8 usually. Deck 6 is the preferred method of transfer from front to aft.

Every time I hear someone complain about smoke on a cruise, I just wish the cruise lines would start taking notice. I’m a big proponent of making ships totally smoke free. I know what you are talking about, how the Getaway’s casino is set up, there is NO smoke free area! It just travels EVERYWHERE! Totally disgusting! I just wish cruise lines would wake up to the fact of the dangers of second hand smoke.

Can you get from aft to stern without going through the casino? We will be on the Getaway in September and I am allergic to smoke. Thanks, your answer will be greatly appreciated
