Could have been better due to lacking customer service.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Fairly quick process. It was a little confusing when we walked in and had a “health survey” thrust at us that needed to be filled out before getting in line. No table or pens to help with that and honestly what a waste since what are the chances someone who is sick would fill it out stating that and chance not being able to get on board.

Service and Staff
3 out of 5
This is where I really felt NCL paled in comparison to RC. Staff was friendly but did not really go out of there way. Only actually saw the room steward once the whole trip and that was at 9am on the morning of departure and he was checking if he could start cleaning the room. I’m not sure if the lack of customer service is because it was a bigger ship or because gratuity is prepaid and they don’t feel they have to try as hard or just a general disconnect by the staff but it was a huge disappointment.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was very clean. Only complaint on this is the layout of the casino. Middle of the ship and everything around it constantly smelled like cigarettes and because of the carpeting it also smelled bad like a dirty ashtray. It was impossible to stay away from it and as a non smoker a lot of my clothes came home smelling like it.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was clean and very comfortable. Shower was great and always had hot water and nice water pressure.
Excursion to Little French Keys. It was nice but the transportation to and from was a little rough due to roads being in very bad shape with lots of potholes.
Lots of shops right off the ship but it was mostly bartering prices and everything was very expensive. All of the shopkeepers were aggressive and made it uncomfortable to look around.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion from their cruise experience.
Every single cruise may not be an awesome experience for some people. Just sayin.
I know gratuities are prepaid but I always tip al little something to my room steward daily. Can you imagine how they must feel? Their day is consumed with cleaning up hundreds of messes they didn’t make everyday. It’s easy to forget they are people and under appreciated them. A daily tip let’s them know they are appreciated and valued for what they do. A small gesture goes a long way.
What? I’m baffled. Lacking customer service? I’ve sailed this ship twice, so I really don’t understand what your talking about. It was a totally awesome ship. Never had an issue with any staff members. They all went above and beyond to help you and make your cruise fabulous!
