Overall we had a wonderful time on the cruise and enjoyed the activities and entertainment. What is so nice about the larger ship is that you can participate in a few activities or all. You never feel like you have nothing to do. I felt like it was Las Vegas on the sea.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
For my first cruise I was pleasantly surprised. I was concerned with 3000 aboard it would be a challenge. The cruise was well organized, common areas were large enough where they did not feel uncomfortable and the entertainment was excellent.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We decided on the dinner package and the dining in the specialty restaurants were worth the package price. You need to be organized and make sure you make reservations ahead of time with all dining rooms. The buffets had enough food for everyone's tastes but get crowded when you hit port in the morning and departing at the same time.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We loved the spa. We purchased the spa pass for the duration of the cruise and used it often. The fitness center was crowded and we had to wait for exercise machines every day. I feel you can expand the center with more machines and lose some deck space. The rock climbing wall was absolutely in the wrong place! Trying to jog or walk on the track was very difficult because people gathered around the wall to watch - really need to think that one out.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We went to all the shows and were blown away on the high quality of shows that were on our ship. Don't miss a show, they are all fun and of high quality.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
For the most part the service was exceptional. There were so many waiters, sometimes it seemed like too many. They were constantly asking if you were done or hovering over you. In the big buffet room they were carrying big bins which when crowded would almost hit you. I can understand why you wanted the tables to be cleared quickly but having good service can be achieved with calm rather than a hectic atmosphere.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ships layout was well done. The only complaint was the shopping area. We felt you should have had a store for traveling items and needed items ie: toothpaste, small bags, wipes, etc.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. The size was adequate as well as the bathroom size. More drawers would have really been helpful We feel that pull out drawers under the coach would have helped or even under the bed to put your clothes somewhere.
Ship tip
Get organized ahead of time, read everything that Norwegian sends you. Get to the ship early on the first day so that you can be first to customer service or the spa desk to make your reservations for the cruise duration. Everything fills up early
Did not feel going to Berlin was worth it. It's quite far and a very very long day. Going to another port where you are only minutes to the historic landmarks is more enjoyable.
This port was okay only because you had so little time. We felt hurried having to get back on the bus by 2:30. What can you do to improve the time lines so that your customer feels it was worth the cost?
wow, Norwegian has it down. It was so organized, you knew exactly what time, where to go, how to tag your luggage, and times you were given to get off the ship. It was very easy.
