Review summary

Food was excellent

Unable to access Specialty resturants as they were  all booked up on the first day of the Cruise.

Internet was totally disorganized and I needed the net for my Business. The staff were unprepared and didn't care to go out of there way to help. One person at the internet desk while Guest services and Excursions Personnel were all around the place; we know where the money to be made was located

Nickel and Dime mentality; you could go off the ship and make your own arrangements for far less then what they were charging.

Beverage package were unreasonable.

I rated it (3)Stars but it should have been less.

First of all, to ensure Specialty reservations, that can be done online even before boarding. I reserved Moderno as soon as we were able to online prior to cruise. If this was your first time cruising, you may not have been aware of that. As for Internet, I cannot comment to that as I totally unplug when on vacation, and have never bought any internet package, only purchasing enough on our last day onboard to check in to airline for flight home. I never felt I was nickel and dimed. I've cruised several lines over many years, so I do have some experience with this. I actually felt I was harassed more on my RCCL cruises! It is a well known fact that cruise line excursions cost more than private outside bookings, and that is why so many people set those bookings even before cruising. I have not been brave enough to do that, as I always have the fear that something can go wrong to make me late back to the ship. The ship will wait for you if it is a cruise line sponsored excursion, but not if it is through a private vendor. As for beverage packages--yes, their prices are absurd if you don't drink that much. You need to do the math as to how many drinks per day you think you will have, and the cost of the drinks. I recieved the beverage package as my free perk this last time, and LOVED having it! But would I purchase it? No. Three drinks per day for me and three for the hubby does not make the cost worth while. I sailed the Getaway in January and gave the ship/cruise 5 Stars because it was worth every penny I spent! Actually rebooked the same ship for January 2018!
