Review summary

We love Norwegian and the Getaway is an exceptional ship. We've sailed with most of the cruise lines, they're all nice in their own way, but I'm hooked on Norwegian.  Loved the atmosphere, shows, availability of different things to do, food, staff and rooms.  We had no issues getting a table for dinner (when we want, not told when to eat and with whom). No photographer following you around trying to get photos.  The photographers were polite and waited until you approached them. The ship is huge, but it feels cozy.  Getting on and off was a breeze.  Great ship for kids, with characters walking around the boat. Can't wait to take our grandchildren, they're going to go nuts for Dora and Diego!  This is our 5th cruise with Norwegian and we are making our way to platinum!

Our thanks has to go to Jackie Greenwood of who helped us get this very memorable birthday cruise for my husband and myself.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved this room, especially the balcony. So nice to have a pot to make tea or coffee when you wake up. The bathroom was exceptional for a cruise ship. Comfortable couch to relax and watch tv if you don't want to get in bed. LOVED IT!!!

Ship tip

Don't forget to reserve shows. It's easy to do with a smart phone, you can do it in your cabin on the television or anywhere on the boat where you see screens. Just push in your card, tell them your cabin, choose the show, dinner, etc. confirm it's you and you're done!
