Review summary

Thoroughly enjoyed sailing on the Norwegian Getaway to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Nassau, Bahamas from 9/13-9/20/14.  The crew on board made us feel welcomed by all and couldn't have been more friendly.  It was as though we were already old friends.  Loved being welcomed "home" each time we were in port.  Music, crew, cold washclothes to rinse off and cold drinks to cool down before you board at each port.  Didn't see any other cruises welcoming their guests that way.  They just couldn't do enough to please you.  The food was absolutely delicious and our service in the main dining room (Tropicana) was awesome.  The servers in the Savor and Taste were also very good, but a little slower.  But the food...delicisio!  Specialty restaurants were a welcomed alternative and worth it!  Sleep, eat and drink all you want with just a swipe of that "very special card"...what more could you ask, lol!  But then again we were on vacation and certainly not in a hurry!  Our room steward, Myra, was excellent and if she didn't see us she went out of her way to make sure we were okay.  Got a slight cold onboard and everyone was very attentive...room service with a spot of tea, honey, ginger and lemon each afternoon was very nice.  They really go the extra mile.  Really enjoyed the entertainment Burn the Floor...dancers were "HOT"...and we're happily married!  Drinks were wonderful...highly recommend the North/South blended wine (Norwegian's wine) with dinner and you just can't go wrong with the "drink of the day", and if its not to your liking... they go out of their way to get you what you want.  We didn't drink excessively, but enjoyed being able to drink and do whatever you want whenever you want.  No matter what your interests are...there is something for everyone.  Would definitely "Cruise Like a Norwegian" again!  Blessings to all!

Ship tip

If you want something extra...just ask. Traveled with my sister/brother-in-law s and they like the tempurpedic pillows...their room steward was more than accommodating in getting them whatever they needed as well. If you don't like something tell them... they will make it right.
