Review summary
The NCL Getaway is the smoothest ship I have ever been on. While we did not experience huge waves, we did encounter several thunderstorms, but we never felt any movement of the ship. It is also the cleanest ship we have ever sailed. The menus in the main dining rooms had a nice variety of very delicious choices. The specialty restaurants, we tried 2 of 8 (French, Italian) were both great. O'Sheehans Pub was great with different spacials each night and no additional charge. We had two breakfasts it the main dining rooms that were sub-standard, eggs, potatoes and meat were cold. The room service menu was limited, I am guessing because the only table in our balcony cabin was only one foot square, no place to eat. The balcony was uncomfortably narrow, approximately three feet from door to rail. The cabin attendant was friendly, professional and delivered on every request. The entire crew was friendly and helpful. The specialty shows, Legally Blond and Burn The Floor were extremely entertaining (no charge) but make a reservation in advance, or you will not get in. Great seating everywhere in the theatre. They offered an illusions show with a charge to attend, which I thought was too high. Overall, a very good cruise on a very sooth ship.
