Review summary

My husband and I have cruised with Norwegian on several of their other vessels.  So when the opportunity came that we can experience there new cruise line "Getaway" we were excited.  We had the pleasure of booking our cabin with a balcony on the 13th floor, which was great.  What I wasn't thrilled about was their quality of food on all their standard restaurants that you did not have to pay extra for. It was fair, nothing exciting. Two of the restaurants, Savor & Taste were pretty much running off the same menu except they were on opposite sides of each other.  The entertainment at the Tropicana was good, but again, food came out cold.  The entertainment was OK....I was surprised on how small the main theatre was for the size of the ship. There was only one main common pool on this ship, which again for the size, was a bummer.  The exercise room...one had cardio equipment and across was the weight room...again, very small for this ship size.  Unless you showed up at 6am when they opened you were guaranteed to wait...as by 7am all cardio equipment was absorbed. The spa section seemed way too big for the amount of use this area took up.  The boardwalk was nice and different from any other ship we have been on.  The big difference we saw was in our cabin.  They really utilized all space for storage, which was great....we had more than enough space and felt the bathroom was adequate size for two people.   I was quite disappointed on how they had a stampede of people on one floor when it came time to disembarking....It was ciaos.  Not very organized at all.  We came off the ship with the impression that Norwegian may be just equal now to Carnival.  Needless to say, we wont be cruising on this ship again.

We enjoyed their vessel "Pearl", much more than we did this ship.
