A: We always eat lunch at whatever main dining room is open. In the case of the Getaway that would be Taste and/or Savor. They never feel busy even if they are because of the way they’re set up but on embarkation day they’re usually a bit quieter than n... ormal. Also, since your cabin probably won’t be ready until sometime between 2 and 3 and everyone will be wandering around the ship until then it’s nice to just sit back and take the extra time to have lunch. Can’t speak on the Haven restaurant as I’m too cheap to ever stay there.See More

A: Hi there fellow cruiser, if you’re looking for a quick bite, once onboard head to the buffet, on the Getaway The Garden Cafe is on deck 15. Another great option is The Local. On other NCL ships that pub is called O’Sheehans. Good food, good beers... , and a cool pub atmosphere. There are 20 dining options onboard the NCL/Getaway. NCL has “Freestyle” dining. So no early late assigned dining. Hope to his well help you. Happy cruising 🤩⚓️😎❣️‼️ schedule. ISee More

A: Not sure the absolute earliest but I checked in at 11am and went straight in board - just bear in mind your room will not be ready though until 1pm-2pm. It really depends how early they get to the port though - if it’s a later arrival then it’s a lat... er turnaround.See More

A: I agree. Sometimes it’s not worth it to cheap out in certain situation‘s. The only other parking you’re going to find will be probably $30 a day and then you’re going to have to haul your suitcases over to the port. Not worth it! Pay the money and kn... ow your car safe and you’ll have an easier time getting on and off the ship. So you will begin and end your trip with less stress! Good luck!See More

A: cost $45 a night and yes it's pricey but at least you know your car is by the ship and you don't have to walk or take a cab from another parking place

Answered by enjoyurdaysmile on September 15, 2023

A: We did a Canada cruise out of NY at the end of last month. We parked at the port, my parents and sister parked at a garage half a mile away. It saved us about 1.5 hours when we got there and probably another hour leaving. Super easy to get right up t... here. They were about $30 cheaper than I was for the week, which to me was not worth it. Doing this cruise and all 3 of us will 100% park at the port. We could see our car from our balcony when we got to our room.See More

Answered by chrissyb128 on September 19, 2023

A: you should just park at the Port it's just so much easier you get out of your car with the luggage to the ship disembarkation you get off the ship back to your car at parking lot.

Answered by luigif4402 on July 9, 2023

A: 711 12th Avenue

Answered by Mapcruise on July 14, 2023

A: 711 12th Avenue, also if you’re taking Uber or Lyft, type in the address bar: Manhattan Terminal ~ Also, as an FYI the correct address for the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is 210 Clinton Wharf. If you are taking a regular yellow cab, just tell them “M... anhattan Cruise Port Terminal” all these options work for GPS purposes. The Piers are 88 & 90 for Manhattan. Pier 12 for Brooklyn. Happy cruising 🤩⚓️😎❣️‼️See More

A: Tip, for someone who has used NCL air in the past, you can request a day or 2 deviation and you do not need too book a hotel thru them to do it. You still at the mercy of NCL's policies, has always been cheaper than booking it yourself.Cruise lines... are getting tighter on arrival times and have made folks wait. So I would take your time at the airport. If you are using NCL transfers, you will wait for other passengers.See More

A: It is not a rookie mistake. The airfare is part of our ticket through ncl so I am not worried about coming in the same day. When we don’t go through ncl we DO come in a day early.

A: rookie mistake coming in the day of the cruise

Answered by kpm3261 on April 22, 2023

A: At 10 the previous guests should still be disembarking so I’d say you’ll be waiting if you really are able to get from plane to port that quickly.

A: Guests are not permitted to smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipe, electronic cigarettes and vapor devices in their staterooms or on their balconies. Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a $250 USD cleaning charge added to your on... board account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels or carpeting are detected; guests will be advised and charged for the damages. Guests in the Garden Villas may smoke in their private garden and on their private sun decks.See More
